$200 BILLION (N70 TRILLION) CASH TO BE REPATRIATED FROM DUBAI

The Nation reported today that over $200 billion cash stashed away by some former governors, ex-ministers and other public officials in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is also reported that several mansions owned by these PEPs, (Politically Exposed Persons) and their cronies are set to be seized.

There is firm confirmation that seven former governors, six former ministers, a fleeing Presidential aide, ex military chiefs, and party chieftains are involved.

A federal government team made up of the Justice Minister, the EFCC boss and some detectives are already comparing intelligence reports with their UAE counterparts. The EFCC officials are already reportedly in Dubai and were joined yesterday by the Justice Minister.

A few things.

The only paper that reported this is the Nation, a paper owned by Tinubu, an APC leader. Is this therefore another party propaganda? But Tinubu worked very hard to set up this paper. Will he casually toy with its reputation?

Is it just possible that at today's exchange rate, N70 Trillion of Nigeria's money is in Dubai? I am overwhelmed. It sounds incredulous. How did they take it out? When? Over what period? Someone help me! Nigeria has this much money???

If it turns out to be true, and if Buhari brings this money in, then our problems are solved. We have enough in that amount to finance the budget for 10 years at an average of N7 Trillion per annum. Our oil wells can dry up for all I care.

Finally, I will be the first person to strongly urge and insist PMB runs for a second term, third term, fourth term...10th term!!!. If he brings in $200 billion.

But seriously, why do I have this feeling that will not go that this story is too good to be true? Can this story be true????
