Nigeria's Breakup: Yoruba Declares Take-off Of Oduduwa Republic

Fresh secession agitation has broken out in Yoruba, south west Nigeria in a declaration by a group known as Yoruba Liberation Command (YOLICOM) announcing the Take-off Of Oduduwa Republic.

This is in response to the recent agitation of the Igbo for Biafra Republic, with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Nnamdi Kano leading the secession movement from the south east.

Speaking on Thursday at International Press Centre Ogba Lagos, spokesperson of the group, George Akinola said Nigeria is slowing down the progress of the Yorubas, killing and maiming the citizenry. He stressed that Yorubas were forced by the British into the Nigeria Republic and the best time for peaceful dissolution like other countries is now.

Already the Arewa youths last month threatened a forceful onslaught on the igbos living in the north if they refuse to exit by October 1st.
